This event is for novice kids and parents alike and serves players who know how the pieces move, how to set up the board, and what check and checkmate mean. After the workshop you will know answers to the following questions:
- Tempo advantage in the opening - Discovered attacks, Discovered checks & concept of tempo
- Common checkmate patterns
