About the event

Build a Conveyor Belt – Engineering Workshop for Ages 5–7

In this fun, hands-on workshop designed especially for children ages 5–7, young engineers will build and operate their own working conveyor-belt model.

Children will discover how conveyor systems move objects from one place to another and explore where they are used in everyday life—from supermarket checkouts to factories and airport baggage areas. Through guided building and playful experiments, students will learn how belt transmission works and how crossing a belt can change the direction of movement.

During the workshop, children will:

  • Build and operate a working conveyor-belt model

  • Explore how belts transfer movement
