Engineers Robotics Summer Camp 2025 for Kids Ages 6-12
This exciting camp offers a fun and engaging robotics experience, including:
 
STEM and Robotics Programs at Flying Minds

Mechanical Concepts and Physics with Young Engineers (https://calgarysw.youngengineers.org/)
Children explore fundamental of physics and mechanical engineering principles through hands-on learning. Using specially designed building kits, they create exciting models that demonstrate concepts such as levers, pulleys, gears, balance, and energy transfer—all while developing creativity and problem-solving skills.

Robotics and Coding with LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essentials and Mindstorms Inventor
  • Beginner Track – LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essentials:
    A friendly introduction to robotics and programming. Children use simple drag-and-drop coding blocks to bring their LEGO creations to life, learning how sensors and motors work together to solve fun challenges.
 
  • Advanced Track – LEGO® Mindstorms Inventor:
    For students with some coding experience, this track offers a more in-depth dive into robotics. Kids will design, build, and program more complex robots using advanced logic, sensors, and custom code by learning key concepts: variables, functions, conditions, and loops. They will also create custom functions and declare new variables to develop their own logic structures.
     
  • "Building Your Robot" 
    Hands-on assembly of robots using LEGO pieces. Customizing designs for different tasks. First Lego League compition from previous year.
     
  • Robotics Movie Discussion Club
    Watch and discuss robotics-themed movies such as Big Hero 6, Wall-E, or Robots. These sessions encourage reflection on the relationship between technology and society and spark deeper interest in robotics and innovation.
 
  • 3D printing
    Inroduction to 3D printing design and 3D printer set up, care and troubleshooting

    • Missed Camp Days: No refunds, credits, or make-up days will be provided for any missed camp days.
