Build a Flying Chairs Ride – Engineering Workshop for Ages 5–7
In this fun, beginner-friendly workshop designed for children ages 5–7, young builders will create a working model of the popular Flying Chairs amusement park ride.
Children will explore how an electric motor makes the ride spin and discover why the chairs rise higher as the ride moves faster. Through simple demonstrations, guided building, playtime, and an upgrade challenge, students will be introduced to centrifugal force in an engaging and age-appropriate way.
During the workshop, children will:
Build and operate a motorized Flying Chairs model
Learn what an electric motor does
